Loggers

Fredrick J. Wood was born in Michigan in the year 1869. Mr. Wood attended the Olivet college of Michigan and completed his scholastic education. He had connections to the lumber industry through his father, who encouraged him to start a mill. He learned the trade quickly and was well respected for his managing capabilities.

Mr. Wood married Miss Anna Bale after they met at college. They had two children, Warren B. and Marrian Ann.

After business began to decline in Michigan, they moved their lumber yards to San Fransico, California. After a couple of years in San Francisco, Mr Wood took over the E.K. Wood Lumber Company in Bellingham. He built a sucessful mill, and the business thrived. Unfortunately, there was an accident and the mill burned down.
