Western Washington has a milder climate than any other region in the U.S that is far north. Winds from the pacific Ocean help keep the summer pleasently cool and the winters warm. However moist winds bring rain and by the time they reach Eastern Wastington they have lost a lot of moisture, making Eastern Washington more dry than Western Washington. Snowfall in Washington averages about 13 centimeters ( 5 inches ) a year along the coast.
Bellingham has had a variety of different temperatures through out the years. However, I'm not going to list them because that would only bore you. Even though Western Washington is known for it's rainy climate, the summers are full of sun!
