"Pacific Northwest Forest"

The "Pacific Northwest Forest" mural created by thirty-three students at Fairhaven Middle School was unveiled Tuesday evening, March 27, 2001. Mrs. Shipp and Ms. Gersich stood on the steps below the mural and shared the journey of blending art and science with the students. Acknowledgements were made to individuals and then the black curtain was dropped. Following the unveiling the 8th grade orchestra, under the direction of Mr. Alexander, provided a musical background as viewers gazed at the mural, had refreshments and enjoyed the company of one another among the very artistic setting.
